AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has warned Real Madrid that they are unwilling to sign Kaka on a permanent deal.

Milan have held several rounds of talks over the return of Kaka, 30, with Madrid believed to be eager to remove the player from their wage bill.

Jose Mourinho said earlier this month that he would be happy to keep Kaka, for whom Madrid paid a world record fee in 2009, and that the Brazilian would only depart the Bernabeu if Milan meet their asking price. With Milan unwilling to sanction a permanent deal, there is currently little prospect of the transfer taking place.

“The deal depends on Real Madrid,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia. “They only want to sell Kaka permanently whereas we want him on loan.

“If they change their minds I’m ready to fly to Madrid, otherwise nothing will happen. We have five central midfielders and five wingers and I would say we’re totally covered.”

Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal had earlier said his club would not be interested in signing Kaka.

“What would Kaka do in this team? Do I really have much of a need for him? We will work in co-ordination with [coach] Fatih Terim to bring important players into the squad,” he told Milliyet. “If needed, new reinforcements could be made. We are looking at alternatives at left-back.”
