Ancelotti, 53, saw his side cap off their title-winning season with a 3-1 win at Lorient on Sunday, leaving them 12 points clear of second-placed Marseille in the final standings.

The former AC Milan and Chelsea boss’ position is far less definitive, however, with PSG yet to give an answer to the request he made eight days ago to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.

“Everyone knows my situation, there’s nothing new. No news is good news,” Ancelotti told the media in Brittany, adding that his players had not made a personal plea for him to stay. “It’s between myself and the club, no-one else, and there is no meeting scheduled with the club. We have to speak to find a solution. I don’t have a deadline.”

Real Madrid remain favourites to secure Ancelotti’s services should PSG agree to free him from the final year of his contract.

Media speculation has suggested that a number of players could follow their boss out of the door during the summer transfer window, but Ancelotti insisted Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 31, who scored a league-high 30th goal of the campaign at Lorient, would not be one of them.

“He’s been the key to winning the title, because he’s shown character and professionalism and been a very good example for everyone. He gave 100% of his ability,” Ancelotti said of the Swede, who penned a three-year deal in the French capital upon arrival from AC Milan last summer. “It’s not true that he’s asked to leave the club. Our relationship is good, just like with the other players.”
